Substitute teacher orientation will take place at the Cullman County Board of Education Tuesday, February 19, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Applications will be available at the Central Office reception desk beginning January 28th. All paperwork must be completed and turned in at the time of the orientation. Any paperwork turned in after this date will be held until the next orientation.
The following is needed to become a substitute teacher:
1. Copy of High School Diploma, G.E.D. or college diploma.
2. Copy of social security card.
3. Copy of driver’s license or birth certificate.
4. T.B. skin test.
5. Completed release form for the finger print process. This process is required with a $49.00 cashier’s check made payable to the State Department of Education. A time to be fingerprinted will be assigned at the orientation.
6. A $20.00 cashier’s check made payable to the State Department of Education for a substitute teacher license.
