The Cullman County Science Fair will be held on March 26-27, 2008 in the Drake Coliseum located on the campus of Wallace State Community College. The Science Fair will be open to public and school viewing on Thursday, March 27, 2008. The awards ceremony will be held on March 27 at 6:00 p.m.
The poster theme this year is “Energy.” The poster and project rules are posted as attachments to this message. All projects must have an abstract turned in to the local school. Students with posters or projects displayed at the County Science Fair must also turn in a Parent Permission Form to the local school science fair sponsor. This form is attached.
Project set-up is scheduled for Wednesday, March 26, 2008, from noon until 4:30 p.m. All project set-ups should be completed by 4:30 p.m. No late entry is permitted. Only judging staff will be allowed to remain in the building after 4:30 p.m. Any violation of the rules will result in disqualification.
Posters and projects should be removed from the coliseum on Thursday night. If you are unable to remove your poster or project, please make other arrangements for removal. Anything that is left at the coliseum after the conclusion of the awards ceremony will be discarded.
While we highly encourage participants to leave their poster or project displayed for viewing until 6:00 p.m. on March 27, we understand that this is not always possible. However, please do not remove posters or projects prior to 3:00 p.m.
