West Point Middle School receives a grant in the amount of $27,600.00 from State Farm Youth Advisory Board in support of their safe driving program.  David Reed, State Farm Field Specialist, along with Shirley Quattlebaum, Mickey Parrish and Tonya Wilson local State Farm agents, presented the check to West Point Middle School on Monday, February 25th during a special safe driving assembly.  “I’d like to thank everyone that was involved in this process.  Together we can make a difference in the safety on our highways,” says Principal, Clark Farley.  Cullman County schools will also be partnering with Trooper Curtis Summerville, Public Information and Safety Education Officer.  Trooper Summerville will be speaking to students during prom season about the importance of safe driving.  Shirley Quattlebaum stated, “I am so proud of West Point Middle School students on their renewal of their grant.  This will be the school’s second year to receive funding from State Farm for their safe driving program.”  The safe driving slogan is:  GOT A SECOND?  SECONDS SAVE LIVES OR CHANGE LIVES FOREVER!  Students at West Point Middle School remind everyone to BE A GOOD NEIGHBOR – HANG UP, BUCKLE UP AND DRIVE SAFE!!
