Automotive Service Technology
Automotive Service Technology is a NATEF* certified program. It
provides classroom and shop laboratory experience in current and
emerging technology, automotive maintenance, service and repair.
Training includes use of computers, electronic diagnostic and
testing equipment, technical manuals, and computerized wheel
alignment systems. Classes include:

Electrical and Electronic -1 credit course

Brakes -1 credit course

Steering and Suspension -1 credit course

Engine Performance -1 credit course

Engine Repair -1 credit course
Students who complete the necessary requirements may obtain ASE
(Automotive Service Excellence) Certification.
In addition to this, students have an opportunity to participate
in written and skill tests at Wallace State Community College.
Depending on the student's knowledge and skills the student could
earn up to 12 hours of college credit in Automotive Service
Technology at Wallace.
