Health Science

Health Science offers flexibility in classes to meet the needs of students interested in a career in health care. The curriculum includes integrated academics and technology. The program includes a clinical component that allows students to learn in the actual work setting. There are uniform and immunization requirements that must be met prior to clinical experience. Classes include:

• Foundations of Health Science

• Therapeutic Services

• Health Science Internship (year long 2 credit course)

Students who complete the necessary requirements may obtain Certified Nursing Assistant Certification.
Three credits of Health Science is an approved substitute for the required one-half credit health course.
