HVACR

This course provides classroom and shop experience that will enable students to become proficient in the installation, repair, and maintenance of residential, commercial, and industrial heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration. Instruction includes:

• Introduction to Heating and Air Conditioning -1 credit course

• Refrigeration -1 credit course

• Electrical Components -1 credit course

• Heating -1 credit course

Students who complete the necessary requirements may obtain Freon Recovery Certification.
Students also have an opportunity to participate in written and skill tests at Wallace State Community College. Depending on the student's knowledge and skills the student could earn up to 12 hours of college credit in Heating/Venting/Air Conditioning/Refrigeration at Wallace.
