Cold Springs won the Cullman County PALS (People Against a Littered State) Clean Campus Award and received $400.00 and a beautification award from the Cullman County Chamber of Commerce. Cold Springs then went on to win the state PALS competition and received $1000.00 on November 14 at the 2007 Alabama PALS Governors Awards Program at Troy University in Montgomery from Spenser Ryan, executive vice president of Alabama PALS, Dr. Donald Hines, Alabama PALS chairman, and a representative from ALFA insurance.
