*  Congratulations to Nic Speer and Layne Rice for qualifying for the sub-state golf championship. They shot an 89 and an 84 respectively to qualify in sectionals.

* Thanks to Traditions Bank for supplying 120 head phones for our new AutoSkill reading and math computer software program.  This will benefit all of our 7^th and 8^th grade students. The head phones will also be used in our graduation exam remediation efforts.

* Congratulations to the following teachers for receiving a grant from Operation Round-up:
Derrick LePard - $400 for Biology lab supplies
Mrs. Haynes - $850 for Microscopes

The girls & boys finished 3rd at the State Championships!!!

* Cold Springs High School is one of 80 high schools in Alabama to receive an ACCESS 21^st Century Classroom Distance Learning Grant worth $85,000.00.  CSHS will receive an IVC station lab, 25-30 tablet computers with wireless router, interactive white board, document camera, multi-media projector and other assorted technology. The system is scheduled to be in place by January 2009.
