Note: Sections marked with * you are to calculate/ answer exactly what the lab asks for in that section of the lab.
Introduction
The introduction should contain a brief statement about what will be completed in the lab. For example, if the simple motion of a pendulum is being studied, then it should be stated. Following this statement should be a few statements concerning the objectives (what should be learned from the lab). Note: If it is an objective then it should definitely appear in the body of the lab and should be addressed in the conclusion. Historical information is also included here.
Apparatus
The apparatus section is primarily for physics and chemistry. In this section, the apparatus being used will need to be drawn. For example, a simple pendulum:
(A drawing program may be used or the apparatus may be free handed. Whatever is used it must be neat!! Or it maybe copied from the internet.)
Procedure
The procedure should be exactly what steps were carried out in the lab. The procedure must be written in paragraph form (NOT A LIST). The paragraph must be written without the use of I, you, he, she, or we! Another individual should be able to read the procedure and carry out the lab just as it was carried out in class. Consequently, notes should be taken during the lab if the given procedure is not carried out exactly.
Notes: L for liter is always capitalized 55 mL
