Beliefs
We Believe: All students are
unique and have the ability to learn but with different rates and styles.
A variety of methods and instructional strategies should be
provided to support the various ways in which students learn.
Evaluation and assessment of student learning should provide
every student with various opportunities to demonstrate achievement.
Students must actively participate in the development of their
own education. All members of our school community have
the right to be treated with dignity and respect.
Community members, families, and educators share the responsibility for the
education of all students. An orderly, safe, and
positive environment is vital for all members of our school and community to
feel welcome and secure. the welfare of our community is
dependent on how functional and adaptive all of our students become.
Open and effective lines of communication will be established and
maintained between students, staff members, parents, and community members.
Extra-curricular activities will allow for growth and development
of the student outside of the classroom setting. All
members of our school community will focus on the intellectual, physical,
emotional, and social growth and development of students.
Technology is purposefully integrated in all aspects of the
curriculum to enable students to function successfully in a technological
society. All members of our school community will be
involved in a continuous effort to improve and refine its services and
educational programs. We believe the commitment to
continuous improvement is imperative if our school is going to enable students
to become confident, self-directed, lifelong learners. |
