Mrs. Brock’s News
We
will be reading Thanksgiving stories and doing activities with these for next
week, November 23rd-24th. We will not be
doing our regular reading or spelling test.
We will be reviewing verbs, money, subtraction, and 0-7’s multiplication
facts.
Our
Christmas party will be on December 17th at 8:15 A.M. in our classroom. Each student should bring $3.00 to cover the
cost of his or her food, a drink at the party, and to buy the materials that
are needed to do Christmas ornaments. This
money should be sent to school by December 6th.
I
need you to buy a Christmas present for your child (around $8.00), wrap it and then
send it to school for the Christmas party. If there is a problem with purchasing
a Christmas gift, please let me know as soon as possible. I would not want your child be the only one
who does not have something to open at the party. After the party, the children
will be allowed to check out with their parents.
Our
class will be collecting money towards helping with a Christmas Love project.
If they usually get a dollar for break they might want to give $.50. This teaches them the lesson “that it is more
blessed to give than receive”. Any money donations are greatly appreciated.
