Important Information for Seniors 2008

Tuesday, April
15, 8 a.m. We will be handing out Balfour orders, if balances
have been paid in full; issuing & trying on cap & gowns, if graduation
fee has been paid; voting on ushers and usherettes; voting on Prom
King & Queen; and discussion any other relevant information. Mrs.
Hunt will also have a lot of this info. on the May senior calendar.
There is a possibility of two group pictures to be taken that day -
one with cap & gowns and then one without.
We need all GH seniors here on this
morning!!!!

Wednesday, April
16 Class Musician tryouts; Must sign up with Mrs. Couch by April
14; auditions will be on the 16th, if interested.

Friday, May 2
Prom If you ordered a prom glass, please pay before April 18th.
We will hopefully be decorating Thursday afternoon and night (May 1);
then finishing up on Friday morning. We can always use help if
youre willing to work. Pictures for prom begin at 4 p.m.
Lead-out will be around 10:00 p.m. Prom hours 8-12 p.m.
Cost of picture packets will be determined later. They usually
run from $25 to $45.

Tuesday, May 6
Awards Day 8:15 in the gym; If any senior at the Career Center has
received any type of scholarship, please have them list the name and
amount (e-mail or fax this information to Mrs. Couch)

Wednesday, May 7
Senior Day 11 a.m. in the gym

Wednesday, May 14,
7 p.m. Baccalaureate, D. E. Ryan Gymnasium at GHHS; Meet at 6 p.m.
in the band room with proper attire, including cap & gowns.

Friday, May 16
Senior Breakfast, 8 a.m., Good Hope Baptist Church; we will then go
to the school for the seniors last walk down the halls of GHHS;
10 a.m.
meet at Tom Drake Coliseum at Wallace State for graduation practice.
If students want to sign up for graduation seating, Mrs. Hunt will
have a chart posted in her room. They may sign up next Tuesday or
earlier it they want, or a seat will just be assigned to them.
In order for GH students to participate
in GHHS graduation ceremonies, they must be at graduation practice
on May 16th, 10 a.m. at Wallace State!!!!!!!!

Saturday, May 17
Graduation,

p.m., Tom Drake Coliseum at Wallace State
We will meet at the
Wellness Center (building to the right of the Coliseum entrance)
at 2 p.m. Seniors must follow cap and grown rules and school
dress code.
Cap and gown dress rules:
Male students must wear dress pants, dark dress shoes, a white dress
shirt which has a collar and a tie.
Female students must wear either a dress or skirt and blouse.
Dress should not hang below gown. The white collars which come
with the gown must be worn unless you have an honor society stole to
wear. Girls should wear dressy shoes. NO FLIP-FLOPS!
ALL Students must follow dress code (no facial hair).
