Cookie dough fundraiser a
success
A big thank you to everyone who sold and
purchased cookie doug. We raised $5700.00 for our school. Several
parents gave donations to add to this amount. The PTO officers counted
money, made phone calls, and prepared the order for mailing. Thanks
ladies! We will notify parents when the cookie dough comes in to school.
Math Team
Mr. Moody, fifth grade math teacher, has 25
students working hard on our math team this year. Several of the members
will compete in a math tournament at Cullman Middle School this spring.
Science Fair
All posters and projects are due to school on
Monday, March 8. Winners will be announced at the March PTO meeting on
Tuesday, March 9 in the lunchroom at 6:30.
Preparing for the ARMT and SAT 10 testing
Our third, fourth, and fifth grade students will
be taking the Alabama Reading and Math Tests on March 23 and 24. They will
also take the SAT 10 on March 29 and 30. It is very important that our
students do their best on these tests. The tests are required of all
students by both Alabama law and the federal No Child Left Behind Act.
Please talk to your child about the tests and stress the seriousness of the
tests. Help your child be both confident and relaxed. Take time to
review the following test taking strategies that parents can do to help support
their child.
·Get
enough sleep
·Eat a good
breakfast each morning
·Wear comfortable
clothes
·Wake up early enough to get ready
for school without rushing
·Arrive at school on time
