Mrs. Kay South
Mrs. South received her B.S. Degree from the University of North Alabama. She also obtained her Master's Degree from UNA. She taught third grade at WPE for many years before transferring to the Computer Lab. She also serves as school technology coordinator for WPE and for West Point Intermediate School. |
Family:
Mrs. South's husband, Franchot, teaches American History at West Point High School. They have two children.
Scott graduated from UAH in the fall of 2002 with a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering. He presently works with Boeing in Huntsville, helping to design projects used in the Space Station and future Aries Rockets. He married Amanda Haddan in October of 2006. Amanda is a Doctor of Pharmacy for Publix in Huntsville. They have one daugher, Sayde who is 2 years old.
Jenny graduated from UNA in 2006 and is presently teaching Family and Consumer Science at J.B Pennington High School and also is the Varsity Cheer Coach. She married Brad Newton in June of 2006. Brad presently teaches Agriscience at Locust Fork High School. Brad and Jenny have one son, Ian, who was born in March of 2009.
Hobbies:
Mrs. South is an avid reader and often gets "lost" in books. Her favorite current authors are Dee Henderson, John Grishim, Mary Higgins Clark, and J.K. Rowling. She also enjoys all types of crafts and spends many hours scrapbooking, crocheting, sewing, cooking, and working on the computer. She enjoys spending time with her family and learning new things. She is a member of the Church of Christ meeting at Baldwin and teaches Bible classes for grades 1-3 there.
