2.  Students who are late to school will receive a pass from the office that will get them into class the next day.  These students will not have to get an admit pass from the office the following morning.
3.        Teachers will not allow students into class without an admit pass.
4.  All students are encouraged to make up their work for any absence.  Too many times poor grades are result of simply not making up work.  Make-up work needs to be completed no more than one week after the absence.  It is the student's responsibility to make arrangements with the teacher for completing make-up work.

DISCIPLINE

Rules are necessary for any organization, whether it be a family or a corporation.  Respect of self and others demands cooperation.  West Point High School is not about students bullying or intimidating other students. Disrespectfulness to teachers, use of drugs, and abuse of facilities are examples of behavior which will not be tolerated.  Remember that self-discipline is the highest order of discipline, where individuals impose upon themselves a present code of honor that prepares them for future challenges.  Success cannot be obtained without discipline.

A discipline record on each student will be kept by the administration.  This record will be used in determining student aides assignments and other such privileges.  School rules will be administered fairly and consistently.  Consequences for breaking rules could involve one or more of the following:  (1) Corporal Punishment, (2) Break/Homeroom detention, (3) Saturday School, (4) Parent Conference, (5) Alternative School, or (6) Suspension.
