The
Yearbook staff is responsible for preserving the memories for the school’s
events and activities. The Yearbook, starting with this year, will cover
the entire school year from August to May, including Awards Day, Prom, and
Graduation, as well as Spring sports and events for the current school year.
For
the 2006-2007 school year, the delivery of the Yearbook will be in
late-July. Seniors: Don’t fret--at some date in April, the autograph
sheets will arrive and will be distributed for students to sign, and we will
ensure this is announced as quickly as possible as that day gets closer.
With any change, there are compromises. The wait for the yearbook will be
worth it when you pick yours up in late summer and see your main
senior-class events there: Prom, Awards Day, Graduation.
Yearbooks
will go on sale next week, March 12-16. The price is $50. Yearbooks
must be paid for when ordered. There is no wait-list for the yearbook,
so no extras will be ordered.
APPLICATIONS for Yearbook staff are due this coming Friday, March 9, no
later than 3:00 p.m. Interviews will be conducted next week by Mrs.
Drinkard. The 2007-2008 Yearbook staff will be chosen by Monday, March 26,
2007, at the latest.
Responsibilities for the yearbook include selling ads during the summer for
two days, selling ads in August for one day, helping the photographers with
the school day pictures, attending training for two days during the summer
(usually at Birmingham Southern’s campus), and then again right before
school starts in August (here at school).
