Science Club

The WPHS Science Club consists of students who enjoy science from grades 9-12.

For the 2005-2006 school year, the Science Club took a field trip to the McWayne Center in Birmingham, Alabama, while the Einstein Exhibit was still on display there.  We all returned with a different view of and renewed respect for Albert Einstein than we had prior to the trip.  Some of the Science Club members helped with the Campus Clean-Up day which was primarily sponsored and coordinated by the Student Council.

For the current school year, the Science Club is planning a field trip to the Birmingham Zoo.  Further information will be added to this site as soon as possible (after the AHSGE week!)  Science Club members who qualify for the field trip will be those students who have attended the meetings during break, who helped to sell the Heart-Grams and/or helped to prepare the Heart-Grams for distribution for Valentine’s Day, and who participate in the Drug Awareness campaign which will start the week following the AHSGE week—March 12-16.

For any further information, you may email Mrs. Drinkard at adrinkard@ccboe.org.
