Following the Civil War, the remainder of the Nineteenth Century is
concerned with major events such as: Reconstruction, the Industrial
Revolution, Imperialism, Immigration, Westward Expansion and other great
challenges.

After the Revolution and the adoption of the U.S. Constitution we
fought another war with England (1812), Mexico (1846-48) a Civil War
(1861-1865). Lewis & Clark and others explored the West, Gold was
discovered in California, and the population moved westward.
