The
2008-2009 West Point Varsity Dance Team consists of 6 members. There
are four seniors and two juniors this year. They will be performing on
the sidelines at the home football games and at half-time of the home
basketball games. They will also be helping the cheerleaders with pep-rallies.

were awarded with a team evaluation Superior trophy, 21 blue Superior
ribbons, 2 red Excellent ribbons, a Spirit stick, an invitation to
compete in the UDA National Dance Competition at Walt Disney World and
an invitation to perform at the 2009 Capital One Bowl. Danielle Pearson
(Captain) was also awarded with an invitation to dance in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

summer the team attended UDA summer dance camp at the University of
Alabama in Tuscaloosa. While at camp they learned a variety of Jazz,
Hip-Hop and Pom routines. They also participated in the Home-Pom Competition and in individual evaluations.
