West Point Intermediate Library Site Link
West Point Intermediate is now one of the few schools in our county to transfer to Accelerated Reader Online! We made this transition over the Christmas holiday period (December 2007). Students now have access to all tests within the Accelerated Reader program...well over 100,000 tests! The children have been trained in using the program during the first week back from the holiday in their computer lab class. Although children can now check their points and see what Accelerated tests are available from home, they are not allowed to actually take tests at home.

Library Schedule
Flexible scheduling is used in our library media center. Flexible scheduling allows the use of the library media center at the point of need by individuals, small groups, and/or classes through planning by the classroom teacher and library media specialist to integrate information skills and literature into classroom curriculum. With flexible scheduling, students are allowed to check-out and return books at any time during the school day. Of course, students must have their teacher's permission before leaving the classroom.
