All employees must successfully pass a background check prior to starting work for Cullman County Schools.  The Alabama State Department of Education requires the background/fingerprinting to be completed via Gemalto Applicant Fingerprinting Online Services.

Applicants MUST register and pay online through Gemalto Cogent Systems prior to arriving at a fingerprint location.

  • Applicants are responsible for their own registration. Changes to incorrect registration data MAY be corrected online or by telephone prior to fingerprint submission.
  • Out-of-State Applicants may submit a completed fingerprint card AND a money order or cashier’s check made out to Gemalto Cogent. Click HERE to see Fingerprint Cards - Out of State Only. 


  • Fingerprint Fee is $48.15.
  • Applicant may pay online during registration using a debit or credit card.
  • Applicants may pay at the fingerprint site with a money order or cashier’s check. Payment must be made out to Gemalto Cogent.
  • Cash, credit/debit cards or personal/business checks are NOT accepted at the fingerprint locations.
