The Cullman County Board of Education at its June 12, 2025 meeting approved Dr. Shane Barnette's recommendation to hire Adam McKinnon as the next principal of Cold Springs Elementary.
McKinnon is currently the assistant principal at Cold Springs Elementary. He is replacing Micah Rice, who has decided to pursue another opportunity outside of education. McKinnon has worked at Cold Springs in different roles for 15 years.
"It is an incredible honor to step into the role of principal at Cold Springs Elementary - a place I've proudly called home," said McKinnon. "I'm excited to lead, serve, and grow alongside our students, staff, and families."
