Girls interested in softball: - Softball try-outs are Tuesday June 3rd at the softball field at 9:00 am. - Make-up try-outs, if you are out of town, are June 10 at 9:00 am. - You must make one try-out. *** Girls varsity basketball try-outs will be announced later this week***

HMS Parents: Please read this entire message, as there is A LOT of imporant information: Field Day is tomorrow beginning at 9am! -Dress for fun, but plan to get dirt/color on your clothes. Shorts/skorts should extend past your fingertips, as we will still follow the dress code. Students may wear hats. Bring sunscreen and a water bottle to stay hydrated! -Students may participate in the Color Fun-Run for $2. The Fun Run will begin at 1:35 on Bulldog Lane. -The track team will be selling Coke Floats for $2 and popsicles for $1. -$5 will be enough for your student to participate in the run and have a float and popscile! We will have extra snacks/water as well if you want to send extra cash. -Parents are invited to attend field day and/or the fun run; meet us at the stadium! Bulldog Lane/Stadium street will be closed for the fun run. Awards Day, Thursday, May 15: -Awards Day will be held in the high school gym and will begin at 8:15am. -Students who are being recognized should have recieved an email, parents/guardians should have recieved an email and/or text notification. Attendance: -Attendance will be taken for all students through Awards Day! -Friday is a makeup day for students who may have missed an exam or have any incomplete work. Next week, attendance is required for any student with incomplete work and/or an F. -School will dimiss @ 1pm on May 21st & May 22

Message from Hanceville School nurses: If your child has medication in the school nurse office, you are advised to pick up this medication by May 21. Any unclaimed medication will be disposed of properly by the school according to state/local guidelines.

Attention parents and all student-athletes: If your child plans to participate in any middle or high school sport for the 2025-2026 school year, they will need a physical. We are hosting physicals on Wednesday, May 14th, in the HHS Gym for $15 at 3pm. This is an excellent opportunity for your athlete to get their physical without making an appointment with their doctor. Money raised from physicals goes into the athletic training fund (used for training supplies, tape, bandages, etc). See the flyer below for additional information.

We are excited to announce that our 7th grade students will be participating in Liberty Learning Foundation's Good Character Expo on Friday, May 9th. Students will be showcasing their civics projects at Good Hope Middle School at 9 am. Parents and guests are invited to attend the showcase!
