That's a wrap on Book Madness at WPI!
The students participated in a basketball themed ACAP review by reading about the history of March Madness, solving math mystery team pictures, practicing their writing skills to develop their book character dream team, and employing creativity to design their own championship shoes.
Furthermore, the Top 8 most circulated books in our library were placed in a bracket for students to vote on Best Book of the 2025-2026 School Year. The students have spoken, and the winner is..... Dog Man! 🏀🏆

Snow day fun from this past Monday!

ACAP is coming up soon! We want to make sure our students are ready and prepared. Please see the infographic below for testing tools, tips, and tutoring opportunities exclusively for WPI students!

Shoutout to our amazing drivers for all they do and helping navigate this weather and the crazy this week! They are the best of the best!

Very fun and engaging evidence based writing mystery assigned in Mrs. Vincent’s class. Students acted out parts, led investigations and group discussions to solve the mystery!

This group of 5th grade students went to Lucy’s on 3rd for finishing on top of the IXL Leaderboard challenge in math. Way to go!!!! Thank you Mr. Carter for taking them and Lucy’s on 3rd for the hospitality.

Thanks Frios for “popin’ in” this week!

Career Day 2026 was a huge success! It is hard to put into words how amazing it is to see 40+ adults take time out of their actual work day to pour into our students and be a difference maker! Each speaker brought amazing energy and content to our kids and our kids asked the best questions and were very engaged. We cannot wait to see what this generation can do! Thank you again to all of volunteers and all of those who helped make it possible.

This week kicks off Random Acts of Kindness Week. What better way than to lead by example. WPI teachers made sure every student had a kind note on their lockers as they returned back to school today. The absolute most important thing is for them to know that they matter. #randomactsofkindness

Way to go Kelly Scott! We are so proud of you and your dedication to make sure that our students have the absolute very best when it comes to learning how to be the best they can possibly be!
From CCBOE: "Congratulations to these Cullman County School counselors! All six were recognized at the Alabama State Board of Education meeting on Thursday, February 12.
The Alabama School Counseling Program of Distinction honors school counseling programs that demonstrate exemplary implementation of a comprehensive, data-driven counseling program.
This outstanding group is also expected to receive a similar award at the national level later this year in New Orleans. Congratulations on this accomplishment!"
