The Cullman County Board of Education at today's meeting approved a $3.3 million bid to build a long-awaited addition to Hanceville Middle School. The addition includes several classrooms, a library, meeting space, as well as a tornado shelter. This replaces Edmondson Hall, which was one of the oldest buildings in our district. A groundbreaking for this much-needed facility will be held soon! Dr. Barnette and the Board, through fiscal responsibility, will be able to complete this project without a loan... by using state funds and grant funds. Congratulations to the Hanceville community!

Can you solve this in 90 seconds or less? Our math scholars are competing today in a county math tournament at Vinemont. Great respect for those who can deliver the correct answer under pressure! If the person managing the social media had to answer, I'd drop half of the cereal trying to figure it out. 🤣

Read Across America Week is one of Dr. Barnette's favorite weeks of the year... because he gets to spend time reading with kids. Let this week be a catalyst for reading in your home! #readacrossamerica #cullmancountyfamily

Congratulations Lady Raiders on your great season! #cullmancountyfamily

Colby Adams, Holly Pond School Bus Driver, was recognized at the February CCBOE Board Meeting Thursday afternoon following his actions to prevent injury of one of his student passengers. A vehicle ran Adams' bus stop sign and it was caught on video. Thank you to Premier Bank who donated this bag of gifts in appreciation.

Due to the surprise snow... all Cullman County Schools are going to dismiss at 9:00am. We apologize for the inconvenience, but as always... safety first.

Today, Chief Science Officers (CSOs) and sponsors from every middle and high school in the Cullman County came together to reignite our CSO program with a shared vision for student-led STEM leadership and community action.
The event kicked off with an inspiring session led by Aubry Lovell from the North Central Alabama Ecosystem, where students explored the mission and vision of the CSO program and its impact on their schools and communities. Following this, CSOs and sponsors collaborated in an action-planning session, brainstorming initiatives to promote STEM awareness, drive innovation, and foster real-world problem-solving within their communities.
This reboot marks a renewed commitment to empowering students as STEM leaders in Cullman County , equipping them with the tools to amplify student voice, engage their peers, and implement meaningful STEM projects in their schools and beyond.

Congratulations to the Good Hope Lady Raiders! They are heading back to Birmingham to defend their state title! Good Hope defeated Deshler 70-50. They will play Tuesday at 3pm. #cullmancountyfamily
